People worship in many ways. Perhaps the best known ways are praying and singing. But there are other ways to worship, such as dancing and painting. All of these are expressions of our love for the Lord God. But if praying, singing and dancing seem fairly obvious, maybe painting needs to be explained more fully. The phrase "A picture paints a thousand words" can help us to acknowledge that painting can bridge the gap that some feel is missing in praying or singing. Hearing a passage of the Bible read, with a picture painted to illustrate the text or even just a word from the text can make the story 'come alive'. This is what we explore during the workshops.
